you think that you're above your peers
just because you think you've lost count of the years
youve been going to shows and supporting the scene
nobody gives a fuck - you dont know what this means
to us
and then theres the other side
talking about their convictions and their pride
i look around and ask where are you?
you cant claim to care so much
when you wont pay your dues
to the ones putting all the effort in
the scene will grow without you
GET THAT SHIT OUT OF HERE
WE DONT NEED YOU
WE DONT WANT YOU NEAR
(there's not a lot i enjoy more than going to a local show and hanging out with my friends. its so cool to see new faces show up and new bands being formed who want to go and play these shows too. obviously there were local shows happening way before i had even heard of hardcore music but just because some people were around for them does not make them better than the people who go to the ones around now. there are also a lot of people who sit around listening to these local bands and claim that they're fans, but never bother to jump on a train or a bus and go and see them play. just because a band isn't big or haven't been around for long does not mean they don't care about their music and the scene. its going to grow with or without these pretentious pricks)
