you say its your right to bear arms
but is it your right to kill
a law held so high
made in a two hundred year old bill
of rights - but that idea is wrong
guns have brought misery to those
they protect for too long

there are literally thousands of examples
of guns being used to bring harm to others
you blame the influence of violent games and heavy music
but your lack of gun control makes your country sick

it is now time to let go of decadent laws
open your eyes and see they have too many flaws
they say only a fool makes the same mistake twice
youve been making it for too long
dont pay the price

(this song was written after the December school shooting showed the world once again why having such relaxed gun control policies ends up in tragedy. although it is true that not everyone with a gun kills someone else, it is also true that until everyone is in the right state of mind to not want to kill someone, they should not be handed a tool that makes it so easy for these disasters to occur)
